To promote unity and safety, all competitive dancers are required to follow the dress code outlined below. Proper attire allows instructors to provide the best feedback and ensures our team looks and feels confident.
Hair
Hair that reaches the eyebrows and beyond should be neatly secured in a bun, ponytail, braid(s), pins, or a headband . Keeping hair secured ensures it doesn’t interfere with turns, spotting, or overall movement. Loose hair can be distracting during class.
The following requirements apply to all ballet classes for competitive dancers and are strongly encouraged for classes like lyrical and jazz.
Leotards & Tights
Leotard: Any Color or Style. Skirts are optional.
Tight Color: White, Pink, or Skin-Toned Tight Style:Â Any style; footed recommended for comfort under shoes. Discounted tights are available at the studio while supplies!
Conditioning & Weekly Rehearsals
The following may be worn instead of a leotard & tights in classes like conditioning, tap, and hip hop.
Fitted Tops: Athletic tops, full length or cropped, any color/sleeve length.
Fitted Bottoms: Spandex shorts, running shorts, leggings, any color.
Hip Hop Only: Sweatpants/joggers.
Saturday Rehearsals
